Last night I woke up at 12:30 in the morning and there was a light on in the hallway. It freaked me out, because we’d had people over that evening, and left the front door unlocked while people came and went. My paranoid mind immediately went to, “someone snuck into the house and hid” so I woke Chase up, but just as he woke up the light went off, and he didn’t even see it. He said it must be the Christmas lights, he must have not unplugged them all the way and I was like, no, this was like a bright normal light on right outside the bedroom door, but he got up and checked that the lights were unplugged and came back to bed.
Just a second later the light popped on again and freaked both of us out. He went out and it was our entryway light.
Back on Halloween night, Kevin and I had the cauldron set up in the entryway with the dry ice and our wands and all our good Harry Potter stuff. Kevin was flicking his light-up Harry Potter wand around in the dry ice smoke and having a good time.
Well at one point he gave a big dramatic “swish and flick” and the entryway light blew out. It was very cool and he was mightily impressed with himself. It hasn’t worked since then so we figured the bulb was blown. It’s been a month since then and it just now decides to pop back on. Chase figures there is a short or something, but boy did it freak us out.
